Cricket South Africa will offer central contracts to their women’s internationals for the first time this season.Through the increased investment of CSA’s main partner, final services provider Momentum, six players will be afforded contracts. In December 2012, the sponsorship enabled CSA to employ a full-time women’s coach, Hilton Moreeng.In a boost for the women’s game, the move sees South Africa join England, Australia, West Indies and Pakistan in centrally contracting some women’s internationals.Captain Mignon du Preez, allrounders Dané van Niekerk and Marizanne Kapp, bowlers Marcia Letsoalo and Shabnim Ismail and wicketkeeper Trisha Chetty are the players to benefit in the forthcoming season.”In Australia, New Zealand and England, the women are playing on national television,” Du Preez said. “It’s as big as the men’s game, so hopefully we will get there soon.””Momentum once again deserves to be praised for being more than just a major sponsor of cricket in South Africa,” CSA chief executive Haroon Lorgat said. “Involvement is not merely investing money in cricket but goes much further through an impressive social investments programme which seeks to build a society that promotes family values and support for under-privileged cricketers.”Danie van den Bergh, head of Momentum brand, added: “I have said this on previous occasions: nothing unites our country more than success on our fields of play and the more we expose our children to the spirit of the game, the more chance we have of shaping future champions. Méndez também falou sobre a adaptação ao futebol brasileiro. Aos 19 anos, ainda não fez sua estreia com a camisa do Corinthians, mas, aos poucos, entende melhor o cenário nacional. O beque é capitão da seleção uruguaia sub-20.

– O mais diferente é a intensidade de jogo, é mais rápido, você tem menos tempo para pensar. Estou adaptado com a vida aqui, tenho apartamento. Tenho que focar no que o técnico quer e trabalhar todos os dias para estar à altura – finalizou.

O técnico Fábio Carille também falou sobre suas impressões nestes primeiros meses de trabalho com o jovem jogador.

– Muito bem, qualidade técnico muito boa, precisamos melhorar o cabeceio e já estamos trabalhando. Estamos muito satisfeito com ele. Está entendendo a forma de jogar. Vem de uma forma diferente, olhamos os jogos dele na seleção e no clube, é uma forma diferente. Temos que ter paciência para ele passar por essa adaptação e ter sequência no Corinthians – disse o treinador.

وتابع: “لا يوجد بند ينص على أنه لا يترك المنتخب قبل كأس أمم إفريقيا، هذا التزام أدبي، حازم إمام اتفق معه على ذلك، ولا أعرف قيمة الشرط الجزائي، ولكن موعد تطبيقه بعد كأس أمم إفريقيا”.

أما عن إمكانية رحيل فيتوريا، واصل غرابة: “كل شيء وارد أن يحدث في المستقبل، ولكن في ظل المعطيات الحالية لن يحدث، لأنه لم يحقق شيء بعد مع المنتخب، وفي توقيت التفاوض معه تلقى عرضًا بثلاثة أضعاف عقده مع المنتخب، فيتوريا أبلغني بأنه لم يحقق أهدافًا مع منتخب مصر حتى الآن”.

واختتم: “ننفذ إلى حد كبير كل طلبات فيتوريا، وهو سعيد جدًا ومرتاح نفسيًا ويرى العمل الذي نقوم به معه”.

يذكر أن فيتوريا نجح في قيادة منتخب مصر للوصول إلى نهائيات كأس أمم إفريقيا بتصدره مجموعته في مرحلة التصفيات.

With another Ranji Trophy season set to begin, the familiar complaints about the quality of pitches and the points system are in the spotlight again. Too many sides are happy to roll out flat tracks and convert matches into first-innings batting shootouts. There were a few exceptions like Rohtak and Mohali, where bowlers enjoyed themselves last season, but in many other venues centuries came easily.At the start of the 2012-13 season, under the supervision of Sanjay Jagdale, the former BCCI secretary, the board had asked the pitch and grounds committee to prepare true pitches. At the BCCI’s captains and coaches meeting held at the end of the previous season, Jagdale had pointed out that the percentage of outright victories had actually increased overall across the country, though only marginally. Last year, in 115 Ranji matches, there were 45 outright results (39.1%), while in 2011-12 there were 34 outright results in 88 matches (38.6%).Still, the bland nature of the surfaces has forced teams to target the three points on offer for taking a first-innings lead in a draw. “The standard of the wickets has to be improved a lot,” Mumbai’s coach, Sulakshan Kulkarni, said. Mumbai, traditionally the powerhouses of Indian domestic cricket, had only one outright victory in the league phase last season, but still accumulated enough points to sneak into the quarter-finals.Tamil Nadu coach, WV Raman, remains positive that pitches will improve with time. “The directive to not have the tracks that were really flat or facilitate a run-fest has changed the dynamics somewhat,” he said. “Teams will have to be patient before every venue implements the right measures.”More than the pitches, Raman said the grey area is the awarding of points to teams. Last year, the number of points awarded for a victory was increased from five to six, while the points for taking the first-innings lead in a draw was retained at three.Raman felt teams needed to be given even more motivation to not settle for draws. “I still stick to my guns that the points system has to be changed,” he said. “You still need to give some incentive to force the issue and go for outright victory, then it becomes a habit. We should also help teams learn to play under pressure and play to win.”One change both Kulkarni and Raman are happy with is the BCCI technical committee’s move to give an additional day’s break between group matches starting from the fourth round. The coaches felt the extra rest would help keep the best players fit throughout the campaign.”The main reason is to give a break to fast bowlers,” Kulkarni said. “Because injuries to them has become the biggest worry not only for the domestic teams but also for players who are on the fringes of selection into the Indian team.”Plenty of quick bowlers including Irfan Pathan, Praveen Kumar, Munaf Patel, Varun Aaron and Zaheer Khan have spent lot of time recovering from injuries at the NCA in recent years. A coach of a prominent team chirps that the NCA was becoming renowned as a National Rehabilitation Centre, instead of an academy that grooms and readies a pool of match-fit players. The extra day’s break will hopefully help the quicks maintain their fitness and make more of an impact on India’s premier first-class tournament.

Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Irfan was picked for the final T20 against South Africa in Dubai despite carrying niggles, ESPNcricinfo has learned. He was to be rested for that game, but ended up injuring his hip and is now likely to miss the series against Sri Lanka in the UAE. The PCB responded quickly by sidelining the team doctor and local trainer and recruiting a foreign physiotherapist to deal with fitness issues.Pakistan had been without a professional physiotherapist since June, after Faisal Hayat left to work in a hospital in Dubai. Since then the PCB had a doctor and a trainer with the team. ESPNcricinfo understands the doctor wanted to rest Irfan for the T20s against South Africa in the UAE, but the team management led by former wicketkeeper Moin Khan wanted Irfan to play because Junaid Khan was not fit. The spinner Abdur Rehman was available for selection but he was not chosen.Irfan’s fitness has been a talking point since he made his debut in 2010 and he played his longest international streak in the UAE. He bowled 65.5 overs in two Tests against South Africa and 13 overs in a game against UAE. Irfan played all five ODIs, bowling 48 overs, and it is understood that he needed adequate time off. In the first T20, Irfan was able to bowl only two overs, and in the second he bowled 1.4 before having to go off the field with a hip injury. Irfan had been rested from the Tests in Zimbabwe in August and was picked only for the limited-overs series, before making a comeback to all formats against South Africa in the UAE.Pakistan suffered several injuries in 2013, with Taufeeq Umar and Harris Sohail returning from South Africa at the start of the year. Umar Gul missed the Champions Trophy with a knee injury and is yet to make a comeback. Allrounder Shoaib Malik and Abdul Razzaq suffered injuries during the South Africa series in the UAE. However, they travelled to South Africa for the series in November but had to return to Pakistan after failing to recover.

أصدر الاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم، بياناً رسمياً اليوم الأحد، للرد على طلب أندية القسم الثاني والثالث بعقد جمعية عمومية في أغسطس المقبل، لمناقشة تأجيل أو إلغاء دوري المحترفين في الموسم الجديد.

وكان اتحاد الكرة قرر تطبيق دوري المحترفين من مجموعة واحدة وسيكون هو المؤهل إلى الدوري الممتاز، وذلك بداية من الموسم المقبل.

إلا أن عددًا كبيرًا من أندية القسم الثاني والثالث، قد وجهوا خطابًا إلى اتحاد الكرة يرفضون فيه إقامة دوري المحترفين الموسم المقبل.

يؤكد الاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم أنه وفي إطار حرصه الدائم والمستمر في العمل على تطوير منظومة كرة القدم المصرية، وحيث أجمع خبراء اللعبة داخل الاتحاد المصري وخارجه على أهمية تنفيذ دوري من مجموعة واحدة تلي مباشرة دوري رابطة الأندية المحترفة أسوة بالدوريات الكبرى والدوريات في الدول المجاورة وهو ما يطلق عليه دوري القسم الثاني أ هذا المقترح الذي أرجأت الأندية تنفيذه عدة مرات مع مجالس إدارات سابقة بـ أسباب متعددة ومع تولي مجلس إدارة الاتحاد اعماله.

قرر المجلس البدء في تنفيذ هذا المقترح حيث قام باستطلاع آراء الأندية المختلفة من خلال جلسات عدیدة داخل مقر الاتحاد، وفي عدد من المحافظات حيث تبين للمجلس إختلاف آراء الأندية بين مؤيد ومعارض لتنفيذه ومع وصول عدد الأندية المؤيدة للبدء في تنفيذ المقترح لـ (٦٧) نادياً من خلال خطابات رسمية شرع الاتحاد في تنفيذ مسابقاته للعام المنقضي بما يؤدي إلى تطبيق الدوري بشكله الجديد بداية من الموسم الجديد ۲۰۲۳/٢٠٢٤ وقد قام الاتحاد بإرسال شروط المسابقة للموسم الرياضي.

إلا أنه ومع نهاية المسابقات بالقسمين الثاني والثالث فوجئ مجلس إدارة الاتحاد بمطالبة عدد من الأندية التي لم توفق في التواجد ضمن أندية المقترح الجديد إلى جانب عدد أخر من الأندية التي ليس لها أي علاقه مباشرة بتنفيذه من عدمه بتقديم خطابات رسمية وصل عددها لـ (٥٠) طلباً كلها بنفس الصيغة والمضمون تدعو فيها مجلس إدارة الاتحاد بضرورة الدعوة لعقد جمعية عمومية غير عادية لإلغاء قرار الاتحاد والذي يتضمن استحداث قسم جديد في دوريات الاتحاد تحت مسمى ( القسم الثاني [ أ ] ) ( دوري المحترفين ) وذلك لبطلان ومخالفته لائحة النظام الأساسي حسب ما ورد في الخطابات المرسلة) ومع إيمان المجلس في حق الجمعية العمومية الكامل في الدعوة لعقد الجمعيات المختلفة تطبيقاً لما ورد في لائحه النظام الأساسي.

قام المجلس بفحص هذه الطلبات المُقدمة لبيان مطابقتها للشروط الواردة بلائحة النظام الأساسي من عدمه وبعد الفحص والتمحيص تبين وجود ما يلي:

1- أن عدداً من هذه الطلبات وردت من أندية ليست مدرجة ضمن أعضاء الجمعية العمومية للاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم.

2- قيام عدد من الأندية التي أرسلت تُطالب بعقد جمعية عمومية غير عادية بإرسال خطابات جديدة تطالب فيها بإلغاء (سحب) طلبها الأول المتضمن الدعوة لعقد جمعية عمومية غير عادية عدم قانونية عدد آخر من الطلب.

وبناءاً على كل ما سبق، فإن شروع بعض الأندية في الدعوة لعقد جمعية عمومية غير عادية في أول شهر أغسطس من العام الجاري هو أمر مخالف للائحة النظام الأساسي للاتحاد لكل الأسباب السابقه إضافة إلى عدم ورود إخطارات تفويض لحضور الجمعية العمومية الغير عادية طبقاً لنص الماده رقم ( ٢٦ ) من لائحه النظام الأساسي للاتحاد.

وعليه: أصبحت الدعوة لعقد الجمعية العمومية الغير عادية المزمع إنعقادها من خلال بعض الأندية أمراً غير قانونياً لعدم اتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية الصحيحة إضافة إلى عدم تحقيق النصاب القانوني لإنعقادها.

وفي النهاية يؤكد مجلس إدارة الاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم إحترامه وتقديره الكاملين لجميع أعضاء الجمعية العمومية وأنه على تواصل دائم ومستمر معهم لسماع وجهات النظر والأراء المختلفة للوصول معاً إلى ما يحقق صالح الأندية وصالح الكرة المصرية وأن اتحاد الكرة سيظل دائماً وأبداً مستقبلاً لأعضاء الجمعية العمومية في أي وقت وفي أي زمان بكل حب وتقدير وإحترام.

Charith Jayampathi spearheaded Sinhalese Sports Club’s (SSC) defence of a formidable total against Nondescripts Cricket Club (NCC), taking four wickets to secure the Premier Limited Over Tournament title at the Premadasa Stadium.Defending 278, Jayampathi knocked over NCC’s openers inside seven overs, and then dismissed Sandun Weerakkudy to reduce them to 44 for 3. Jehan Mubarak steadied the chase with a half-century but he was run-out soon after the debutant Lahiru Udara was dismissed for 42, leaving NCC on 128 for 5. The lower order could not stage a fightback and NCC were dismissed for 224 in 45.1 overs. Jayampathi finished with figures of 4 for 49 in 10 overs.SSC’s match-winning total of 278 for 9 had been set up by a steady first-wicket stand of 69 and Chamara Kapugedera’s 70 from No. 4. Debutant opener Vishva Wijeratne was the second highest contributor with 49. SSC, however, had slipped to 224 for 6 in the 44th over – when Kaushal Lokuarachchi was out obstructing the field – before Dhammika Prasad’s 26 off 22 balls provided a brisk finish.
