Gini Wijnaldum went under the radar with solid performance vs West Ham

Liverpool put in a hard shift at Anfield to keep their unbeaten home streak alive last night. Despite conceding through an early Pablo Fornals goal, the Reds were resilient enough to keep their heads and grab the win.

A VAR decision against Diogo Jota looked like it could paint the rest of game’s dynamic but the Portuguese target man was on song yet again with a goal to mark his third in five league appearances. Jurgen Klopp’s newest signing was undoubtedly the man of the hour, but the whole team rallied together to produce a solid performance.

One man especially who went under the radar was Gini Wijnaldum in the middle of the park. Despite being without playmakers Naby Keita and Thiago, the Dutchman was able to fill in and pull the strings from midfield.

Starting the match alongside Jordan Henderson and Curtis Jones, the 29-year-old did well to trouble West Ham and create chances for the Reds.

According to Sofascore, Wijnaldum maintained a 97% passing rate, won 8/10 of his attempted duels and was successful in 100% of his dribbles and long balls. He was also the most fouled player in the game, highlighting how much the Irons struggled to deal with him in the engine room.

The £75,000-a-week midfielder is into the last 12 months of his current deal with Liverpool, but he is showing no signs of lowering his form. Despite the fact he could be leaving the club for free next year, Wijnaldum continues to give his all to the club and he is proving crucial to the Reds in their hour of need.

He recently received praise from Danny Murphy over his performances for the Anfield outfit. Speaking to Sky Sports, the pundit lauded him as an “absolutely sensational” player despite going “under the radar” (via Tribal Football).

Klopp currently has a huge defensive crisis on his hands, so knowing he is solid in midfield will alleviate a bit of pressure from him. The next fixture will see the Reds take on Atalanta in the Champions League and Liverpool will need a strong performance to push forwards and they can rely on Wijnaldum to deliver.

In the meantime, perhaps it’s time for Michael Edwards to get that tempting contract offer over to the Dutchman.

Fulham can bolster their squad by signing Kai Wagner in January

Tony Khan can give Scott Parker’s side a big boost by securing a deal for Philadelphia Union left-back Kai Wagner in January, although the Cottagers will have to see off competition from West Ham if they are to complete his signing.

It has been reported by the Daily Mail recently that the West London club, along with the Hammers, are weighing up whether to make an offer for the German defender in the upcoming January transfer window.

The 23-year-old, described as a ‘revelation’ in an article by The Athletic in 2019, has impressed with his performances in the MLS in recent seasons, with the defender contributing six assists in 32 appearances in 2019, earning a solid 6.8/10 rating (per WhoScored).

Across 2020 meanwhile, the former Schalke man has scored twice and assisted twice across just 20 appearances, whilst his average rating is much improved (per WhoScored).

Therefore, it is perhaps no surprise that Premier League sides are taking an interest in the youngster ahead of the winter transfer window, and with the report suggesting that he could be available for as little as £3.5 million, he could represent a bargain deal for Fulham.

Parker’s side already signed fellow left-back Antonee Robinson from Wigan Athletic in the summer transfer window and the American has impressed in his Premier League appearances thus far, averaging a solid 6.94 rating from his five appearances in the top-flight.

The Cottagers also have Joe Bryan available as a left-back, and the former Bristol City man has also done fairly well following Fulham’s promotion, having averaged a solid 6.62 rating from his five appearances in the Premier League.

However, squad depth can be hugely important for a Premier League side, especially one such as Fulham who are arguably in a relegation fight this season, and should either one of Robinson or Bryan suffer an injury, then having Wagner available to fill-in would be of great benefit to Parker.

The Philadelphia Union manager Jim Curtin was full of praise for the German earlier this year, as following a 1-0 win over New England, he lauded both of his full-backs, saying:

“I thought the play, in particular, of our outside backs defensively was excellent, whether it was making a tackle, a big block or a clearance. I think sometimes we just expect them to be solid every game. It’s a time where I can single them out and give them a little bit of praise.” (per Fox PHL)Therefore, it seems as if it is only a matter of time until Wagner earns himself a move away from the MLS, and considering how cheap he is seemingly available for, Khan should hopefully be working hard to ensure that he moves to the West part of London, rather than joining David Moyes’ side.

– Foi uma oportunidade que apareceu para a diretoria. Fui consultado em relação a isso. Normalmente traçamos um perfil para esas posições. É um nome experiente, jogador vencedor, com uma boa idade. É um cara guerreiro dentro de campo. Analisamos e vimos que estava dentro dos padrões que a gente queria.

Se Marcelo Mattos chega, o argentino Guiñazú deve sair. A diretoria deve se reunir nos próximos dias com o volante para definir o futuro do jogador. Fora dos planos do técnico Jorginho, a tendência é de que as partes cheguem a um acordo pela rescisão do contrato.

أعلنت نقابة الإعلاميين إيقاف المذيع الرياضي مدحت شلبي عن التعليق على أي مباريات أو أحداث رياضية حتى نهاية عام 2021 الجاري بسبب شكوى نادي الزمالك ضده بعد مباراة القمة الأخيرة.

وكان الزمالك قد قدم شكوى ضد مدحت شلبي بسبب ما أسماه النادي بالإساءة له أثناء التعليق على مباراة القمة مع الغريم التقليدي الأهلي.

وحوّلت نقابة الإعلاميين برئاسة طارق سعدة مدحت شلبي إلى التحقيق، بشأن ما تقدمت به إدارة الزمالك خلال الأيام الماضية، لتقرر إيقافه في النهاية.

وجاء بيان نقابة الإعلاميين الرسمي بشأن إيقاف مدحت شلبي كالتالي: 

“أصدر النائب الدكتور / طارق سعده نقيب الإعلاميين وعضو مجلس الشيوخ قراراً اليوم الثلاثاء رقم (23) لسنة 2021 بإيقاف السيد / مدحت هلال محمد شلبى مقدم برنامج ومعلق رياضى عن التعليق على أي مباريات على أي وسيلة إعلامية مرئية أو مسموعة داخل جمهورية مصر العربية حتى نهاية العام 2021 وذلك لمخالفته ميثاق الشرف الإعلامي ومدونة السلوك المهني. جاء ذلك بعد أن مثل شلبي اليوم أمام لجنة التحقيق في مقر نقابة الإعلاميين في تمام الساعه 7 م وكانت لجنة التحقيق تضم من مجلس الإدارة سهام صالح وكيل أول النقابة ومحجوب سعده سكرتير النقابة وخالد فتوح عضو مجلس الادارة والمستشار / عمر هريدي والمستشار / هيثم علي والمحققان عثمان عبدالعليم وتامر رجب. وجاءت توصيات اللجنة بأن السيد / مدحت شلبي خالف ميثاق الشرف الإعلامي ومدونة السلوك المهني. أولا في باب المبادئ العامة الفقرات أرقام 2 , 4 , 9 إذ تنص الفقرة رقم 2 على احترام الأديان السماوية والقيم المجتمية وآداب وتقاليد المهنةالفقرة رقم 4 تأكيد دور الإعلامي في حماية الوحدة الوطنية والتماسك القومي. فقرة رقم 9:  احترام الإعلامي لحقوق الجماهير مستعمين ومشاهدين وفي باب الواجبات خالف المذكور الفقرتين رقمي 2 و6، إذ تنص الفقرة رقم 2 علي الالتزام بالموضوعية في التناول والتوازن في عرض وجهات النظر وعدم تغليب المصالح الخاصة على الاعتبارات المهنية والوطنية. الفقرة رقم 6 الالتزام بعدم استخدام ألفاظ وعبارات أو صور تنافي الآداب العامة والقيم المجتمعية. وأكد نقيب الإعلاميين أنه يجب على جميع المعلقين الرياضيين الالتزام بالمهنيه والحياديه ونبذ التعصب والإعلاء من القيم التنافسية القويمة التي تربينا عليها جميعاً. يُذكر أن النادي الأهلي قد حقق انتصارًا عريضًا على حساب الزمالك بخماسية مقابل 3 أهداف في الجولة الثالثة من الدوري المصري الممتاز.

مدافع مانشستر سيتي يتورط في تهمتي اغتصاب آخرين ويستعد للمثول أمام المحكمة

اتهم مدافع مانشستر سيتي بينجامين ميندي بتهمتي اغتصاب أخرتين، وتم استدعاء اللاعب، من بريستبري، للمثول أمام محكمة ستوكبورت الابتدائية يوم الأربعاء.

يواجه لاعب كرة القدم البالغ من العمر 27 عامًا، والذي لا يزال رهن الاحتجاز، ست تهم بالاغتصاب وتهمة واحدة بالاعتداء الجنسي بحسب شبكة “بي بي سي” البريطانية.

تتعلق التهم بأربعة مشتكيات تزيد أعمارهن عن 16 عامًا ويُزعم أن تلك الوقائع حدثت بين أكتوبر 2020 وأغسطس 2021.

ولعب الدولي الفرنسي مع مانشستر سيتي بطل الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز الموسم الماضي منذ عام 2017، عندما انضم من موناكو مقابل 52 مليون جنيه إسترليني.

تم إيقافه من قبل النادي بعد اتهامه من قبل الشرطة، على ذمة التحقيق.

كما اتُهم لويس ساها ماتوري سابقًا بأربع تهم بالاغتصاب فيما يتعلق بالهجمات المزعومة بين مارس 2021 وأغسطس 2021.

كما وُجه للبالغ من العمر 40 عامًا من إكليس تهمتان إضافيتان تتعلقان بالاغتصاب وواحدة بالاعتداء الجنسي وتم استدعاؤه للمثول أمام المحكمة، ومن المقرر أن يحاكم الرجلان في 24 يناير 2022.

Sunderland take on Fleetwood on Friday evening with a real need to get a result.

In all competitions, the Black Cats have failed to win their last three games and not since the very beginning of November have they won in the league.

It’s a period of form that has led to questions about Phil Parkinson’s future, but also about their promotion hopes.

They are now eight points off the summit of League One and are chasing the pack again just as they have done in the last two seasons.

So how on earth does Parkinson go about resolving things, especially against a side they lost to only a matter of weeks ago?

Well, hopefully fielding the following XI would be a good start.

Our predicted XI for tonight’s clash features two changes to the side that drew with Doncaster last time out.

The first replacement is in goal where Lee Burge returns to the fold in place of Remi Matthews. The latter has played in the last two games because of an injury to Burge but he could return on Friday.

The only other change is an enforced one. Lyndon Gooch has been ruled out for around a month, and thus, we’re tipping Elliot Embleton to come into the XI.

He’s not started in the league for Sunderland since March 8th 2019, so is set to return after 645 days away.

He spent the 2019/20 campaign on loan at Grimsby but was out for a period of five months because of a serious hamstring injury.

However, the youngster has been building his fitness up and now seems like an ideal chance to finally give him an opportunity.

Charlie Wyke didn’t score last time out but should keep his place ahead of Will Grigg given his haul of five goals in the last ten matches.

You may also notice that we reckon Parkinson will stick with a three at the back system.

Pouco antes de Federico Mancuello falar as primeiras palavras na coletiva que marcou a apresentação dele como reforço do Flamengo, na manhã desta sexta-feira, o diretor executivo de futebol Rodrigo Caetano informou que o meia usaria a camisa 23, embora a numeração dos atletas ainda não tenha sido definida. O dirigente aproveitou e disse que, posteriormente, o argentino explicaria a razão da escolha. Muitos não entenderam, mas Mancuello explicou logo. Independiente e Racing formam uma das maiores rivalidades da Argentina. É o chamado “Clássico de Avellaneda”, província de Buenos Aires onde se situam os dois clubes. Apesar da clara provocação ao rival, Mancuello, que não esconde de ninguém o fato de ser torcedor apaixonado dos “Rojos”, clube que o revelou para o futebol, explicou o que ele faz fora de campo.

– Sou uma pessoa muito tranquila. Depois do treino gosto de ficar em casa com a minha família tomando mates e compartilhando momentos com as pessoas que estão por perto. Gosto muito de ficar com minha família – disse.

Ex-jogador do Independiente, Mancuello foi contratado por três milhões de dólares (cerca de R$ 12 milhões) e assinou contrato de quatro anos com o Flamengo. O clube ficará com 90% dos direitos econômicos do jogador. A expectativa, como o próprio disse na apresentação, é de que na próxima semana ele já comece a fazer trabalhos com bola no campo.

As per Sofascore, he had no shots on goal whatsoever over the course of the 60 minutes he was on the pitch, provided just one key pass, and only made 12 successful passes in total.His performance even saw some fans insist that they never want to see him play for the club again, calling for the club to get rid of him when they can.

Whilst Yates may get his fair share of the criticism – and rightly so – Knockaert shouldn’t be let off for his awful performance either.

– (O joelho) Ainda não está bem. Foi a primeira vez que operei, peguei uma bactéria e tive uma infecção logo em seguida. No dia 16 agora fez quatro meses da cirurgia. No dia 1º de fevereiro tenho uma viagem para os Estados Unidos. Estou indo em busca de um visto de três anos. No momento, praticamente parei de jogar, a não ser que tenha essa oportunidade nos Estados Unidos – disse Rivaldo, na apresentação do filho dele, Rivaldinho no XV de Piracicaba, nesta terça-feira.

Apesar do desejo de jogar nos EUA, Rivaldo negou que tenha qualquer acerto com o Fort Lauderdale Strikers, time que tem o ex-companheiro dele na Seleção Brasileira, como um dos acionistas.

– Não se trata de uma proposta. Eu tenho um prazo para entrar nos Estados Unidos. Por isso a viagem. Estando lá fica tudo mais fácil para procurar ou até mesmo aparecer um trabalho para eu fique no país – disse Rivaldo.
